The evening started off with a prayer song rendered by our golden
voiced member Smt.vishal shankar. Then our new president mrs. Vijaya
mohan welcomed everybody with the traditional welcome by her sundara
tamil.

Next mrs.Sridevi Vishwanathan started her small speech explaining the
objectives of the association and this present committees ideas of
taking the association forward and make it the best in the Emirates.

1 : the association focus being on the members and their family.
2: the associations determination to bring out the talent of the
family members.

3 :for the associations programme the children will be promoted
collectively with all the kids given their due importance.

4 : to get the association more deeply involved in the welfare of the
society. a scheme to start a fund with each members contributing to
maximum to their own wish was suggested.

The criterion for distribution of this fund will be mainly based on
cases which are Being published in the local dailies so that the
authenticity of the case is verified,And natural calamities of our own
motherland like earthquakes and floods, and The local special needs
school being sponsored for a certain possible limits. It was clearly
mentioned no personal request will be entertained.
It was suggested that members start going for blood donations and other voluntary form of service as serving in the hospitals or old age homes.

5 : it was offered that if any one members are interested in conducting
a full programme for a month the present committee will give them a
chance to do so whole heartedly.

6 :if the members are interested in participating in a charity bazzaar
with their talents products like embroidery, pottery, paintings and so
on the committee showed their interest in organising a show for them .

7 :finally mrs.Sridevi Vishwanathan ended her speech with a request to
relinquish her from the post of general secretary citing her ill health and proposed Mrs.girija Muralidharan for the same post. This was seconded by our member Mrs.shantha Srinivasan and unanimously accepted by all our members.

8: Mrs. Sridevi Vishwanathan will act as the entertainment secretary for the same period.

Next all the members were invited one by one by alphabetical order and
were asked to Introduce themselves and the members did so with much
enthusiasm.
Next we came to the end of the programme with good food being served.
The committee soulfully wishes the request to serve the food first to
the kids and then To our elderly parents who are visiting us and then
our dear husbands without whom We cannot perform and then we ladies
who are successfully running the association will gather to have our
food. This is to infuse some discipline among ourselves and to boost
our image in the eyes of our family members.

Daughter of one of our members Mrs Latha Sekar gave her maiden performance or arangetrum on the 18th of May at the Indian Consulate Dubai.
It was an astounding performance and the "Varanum" was the highlight of the evening.
